We're the INW Dyslexia Alliance, a nonprofit founded in 2022 with a mission to support, empower, and advocate for individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals in the Inland Northwest.
In addition to offering dyslexia evaluations and literacy intervention through a “donate what you can” model, we provide various resources on our website and opportunities for connection through our Champions for Dyslexia initiative. Discover more below!
-
Dyslexia Evaluations
A licensed and clinically certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will take you through a dyslexia evaluation using the Test of Integrated Language and Literacy Skills (TILLS) model. If diagnosed, an official medical document will be provided and can be given to your school to initiate 504 and IEP plans.
-
Literacy Intervention
We use the Wilson Reading Program to guide your student through sessions each week, either in-person or virtually. This is an Orton-Gillingham based curriculum that follows the Science of Reading principles proven to be the most effective way to teach a struggling student how to read, write, and spell.

Creating Community
It’s easy to feel isolated and alone as a parent when you’re struggling to get the support your dyslexic child needs. In addition to the information found throughout this website, we hope to help provide a network of other local parents to connect with, learn from, mentor and relate to.
