Overview of Dyslexia

Dyslexia is an unexpected difficulty in learning to read. Dyslexia takes away an individual’s ability to read quickly and automatically, and to retrieve spoken words easily, but it does not dampen one’s creativity and ingenuity.

If you suspect your child has dyslexia, early intervention can improve success. Dyslexia is identifiable with 92% accuracy in children at ages 5.5-6.5 years. 9 out of 10 students will read at or above grade level if they can be identified and receive support in their early elementary years.
