Upcoming Workshops

  • Led by Guest Speaker Katey Treloar, Founder and Coach at Executive Function Coaching

Join us for a practical and engaging workshop focused on executive function (EF) skills—the mental processes that support focus, organization, time management, and self-regulation. These skills are essential for success in school and life, yet many students—especially those with dyslexia—struggle in these areas.

Designed for K–12 educators, caregivers, and any adults supporting students, this session offers age-appropriate strategies for younger learners and practical tools for older students, including study skills and goal setting. You'll also learn how to strengthen home-school collaboration and support meaningful, lasting growth in students. This free workshop is open to anyone interested in executive function, not just those impacted by dyslexia.

Attendees will leave with clear, ready-to-use strategies for both classroom and home support.

  • We currently offer workshops tailored for:

    • Caregivers: Expand your knowledge of dyslexia to better support your child in achieving success in and beyond the classroom.

    • K-12 Educators: Join a collaborative network of professionals dedicated to supporting students with dyslexia in our region.

    • SLPs (Speech-Language Pathologists): Connect with a professional community supporting clients with dyslexia across school, medical, and private practice settings.

Please note the intended audience for each workshop to ensure it meets your needs!

  • Of course! While we intend for the meetings to be full of valuable insights and networking opportunities, we understand that not everyone can attend. Our leadership team will send email updates summarizing each meeting to everyone on our Champions for Dyslexia list so you can stay informed and participate when you’re able!

  • No, each group will have its own leadership team, agenda, and meetings yet follow the same objectives listed above.

While there may be occasions when all groups get together, the majority of our gatherings will remain distinct and separate.

  • We will indicate when Educator clock hours are available for our workshops.

  • We will indicate when ASHA CEUs are available for our workshops geared towards professional SLPs.
