St. Charles and INW Dyslexia Alliance

St. Charles is excited to partner with the INW Dyslexia Alliance! This year, our teachers have benefited greatly from professional development, which in turn has benefited our students.

In our renewal of Catholic liberal education, it is our desire to continue to support our kids and meet them where they are in their learning! Sometimes this means outside support and we are pleased to have forged this new partnership!
— Heather Schlaich, Principal at St. Charles

  • Elementary teachers at St. Charles attended an informative teacher training hosted by Michelle Gibson, Literacy Director and Co-Founder of the INW Dyslexia Alliance. This resulted in a greater understanding of dyslexia, empathy towards these neurodiverse learners, and a desire to do all we can to support our students with this need.

We look forward to continuing these efforts as we enter a new school year!

  • It’s easy to feel isolated and alone as a parent when you’re struggling to get the support your child with dyslexia needs. In addition to the information found throughout this website, we also provide a network of other local parents to connect with, learn from, mentor and relate to.

When we started to walk the dyslexia path with our daughter in 2015 we felt alone...thanks to Michelle, her tutor and one of the Co-Founders of the Alliance, we discovered so many more resources. Thanks to the Alliance, families will not walk the path alone and many more kids will succeed to their full potential.
